Yellow Door Energy, the leading distributed solar developer in the Middle East, has signed its first solar agreement in Pakistan with footwear manufacturer Starlet Innovations (Private) Limited.

As the provider of the solar power purchase agreement (PPA), Yellow Door Energy finances, designs, builds, commissions, operates and maintains the solar plant for the duration of the PPA.

With almost four decades of footwear manufacturing experience, our company needs to remain competitive and innovative. Yellow Door Energy provides a solution that addresses both objectives. Meeting an impressive 50% of Starlet’s energy needs, the rooftop solar plant will provide over one thousand megawatt-hours of clean energy and reduce carbon emissions by 690 thousand kilograms annually, the equivalent of taking 150 cars off the road.

Yellow Door Energy brings solar to footwear manufacturer in Pakistan

Lahore, Pakistan, November 1, 2019: Yellow Door Energy, the leading distributed solar developer in the Middle East, has signed its first solar agreement in Pakistan with footwear manufacturer Starlet Innovations (Private) Limited.

Meeting an impressive 50% of Starlet’s energy needs, the rooftop solar plant will provide over one thousand megawatt-hours of clean energy and reduce carbon emissions by 690 thousand kilograms annually, the equivalent of taking 150 cars off the road.

As the provider of the solar power purchase agreement (PPA), Yellow Door Energy finances, designs, builds, commissions, operates and maintains the solar plant for the duration of the PPA. A solar PPA enables businesses to go solar without any upfront capital investment, while saving between 10% to 30% of their electricity bills and reducing their carbon emissions.
