of avoided carbon emissions annually
Jordan Hospital signed a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) solar wheeling agreement with Yellow Door Energy to reduce 60% in electricity costs and lower carbon emissions, all without any upfront investment.
Located in Madaba, Jordan, the solar plants span over 43,000 square meters and meet 50% of Jordan Hospital’s energy consumption needs. In order to maximize exposure to the sun and optimize clean energy generation, the solar panels are affixed to trackers that follow the path of the sun throughout the day. Over 4,000 megawatt-hours of clean energy annually, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 2,800 tonnes.
