Jordan Hospital signed a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) solar wheeling agreement with Yellow Door Energy to reduce its electricity costs and lower carbon emissions, all without any upfront investment.
Located in Madaba, Jordan, the two solar plants cover 43,000 square meters and meet 50% of Jordan Hospital’s energy consumption needs. Over 5,100 solar panels have been installed to generate 4,000 megawatt-hours of clean energy annually, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 2,800 tonnes.
Trackers have also been installed so that the solar panels can follow the path of the sun and optimize clean energy generation.
