Through the solar agreement with Yellow Door Energy, Hira Walraven can reduce its electricity costs and switch to clean energy, all without any upfront investment.
The recently commissioned 517 kilowatt-peak rooftop solar plant will generate 840,000 kilowatt-hours of clean energy in its first year of operation, equivalent to reducing 350,000 kilograms of carbon emissions or planting 5,700 trees. Over 1,000 solar panels have been installed to cover 4,700 square meters of roof space at the facility, meeting over 90% of its energy consumption needs.
